THE SMO STORY
The hearts behind the movement
Learn about us and meet the passionate team of women redefining what it means to show up for each other for the sake of Allah — in business and in life.
A carefully curated marketplace experience
that puts Muslim women entrepreneurs at the center
Born from the vibrant community of Magnetic Muslimah, SMO exists to create the kind of bazaar experience our vendors and shoppers actually deserve.
We're not trying to be the biggest or the flashiest. We're focused on being the most intentional. Every vendor is handpicked, every detail is thoughtfully planned, and every experience is designed to celebrate the incredible talent within our community.
Think of us as the space where quality meets purpose, where shopping becomes community building, and where every purchase is an investment in someone's dream.
What we stand for
Quality Over Quantity
We handpick every vendor because we believe you deserve better than "just okay." Each business in our community meets our standards for excellence, authenticity, and heart.
Authentic Representation
No tokenism here. Muslim women aren't just invited to the table—we're building our own table, setting our own standards, and defining success on our own terms.
Sisterhood in Business
This isn't about competition—it's about collaboration. We lift each other up, share resources, and celebrate wins together. When one of us succeeds, we all do.
Community Wealth Building
Money spent in our community stays in our community. We're creating an ecosystem where Muslim women can thrive financially while supporting each other's dreams.
Meet our lovely founder, Naira
When I started Magnetic Muslimah, I had no idea how quickly it would grow. What began with just six incredible women blossomed into a thriving membership of 124 in less than a year — blooming with barakah at every step. It’s been a space of transformation, rooted in authenticity, connection, and purpose.
Then we noticed something beautiful...
Many of our members were showing up again and again at local bazaars, not just to support—but to showcase their own businesses. While these events were valuable, they longed for something more. They wanted a space that felt like Magnetic Muslimah—intentional, inspiring, and centered on quality experiences.
So, i made them a promise...
I told them I wouldn't host a bazaar unless I could do justice to the experience. And if I did, I would build a team that shared my vision—a team that understood what it means to create meaningful, vendor-focused events that uplift and empower.
That's how Shop Muslimah Owned was born.
